I wrote this song about White Diamond from the show Steven Universe. I was so incredibly moved by the final episodes art and message that this song just kind of bubbled out of me. The show emphasized the importance of learning to love yourself in a way that was so cosmically powerful I rolled a tear just thinking about it for days.
lyrics
Have you ever seen the White queen of gems paralyzed dreams?
Silence fills the air, she wields it with an icy stare
What compares?
Pink, lay your arms down
Yellow, lay your arms down
Blue, lay your arms down
You're all a part of me
You all belong to me
I am a destroyer of worlds
Who is it you think you're talking to?
Little hearts of stone, what made you think I could be dethroned?
With a word I could split the ground on which you stand
Take my hand
Pink, lay your arms down
Yellow, lay your arms down
Blue, lay your arms down
You're all a part of me
You all belong to me
I am a destroyer of worlds
Who is it you think you're talking to?
